Construction of the center median along Katella Ave at Chestnut is set to begin on Monday, February 6.
This project will lengthen the eastbound left turn lane on Katella Ave to north Los Alamitos Blvd. approximately 90 feet. In addition, it will restrict motorists travelling westbound on Katella Ave from making left turns into the Rossmoor Center at Polly’s Pies. The project is expected to last for six weeks and work will be completed between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
In order for construction employees to work safely, at least one lane in each direction will be closed. Adequate signage warning drivers of lane closures will be utilized, but motorists should expect delays and use caution while proceeding through the area.
