Did You Know? Area Command
Did you know that the Los Alamitos Police Department is utilizing a different method of managing our community policing and problem solving called
Area Command?
It creates four smaller areas, each supervised by a patrol sergeant and a team of officers. A more responsive method of problem solving, accountability and communication was envisioned by Chief Mattern and the result of the management team's efforts is this strategy. The Area Command complements the every day community policing activities undertaken by our patrol officers and detectives and is intended to address ongoing issues impacting quality of life issues in our community.
We are adding information to the Police Department website about these efforts so check back often. Click here.
