Motorists who choose to drive while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs pose a serious danger to our community. Every year the Orange County Chapter of MADD, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, asks police departments to identify their personnel who have made the most DUI arrests during the previous calendar year.
Recently, MADD, the Los Alamitos City Council, and the Los Alamitos Police Department congratulated Detective Samantha Mathias for arresting the most DUI drivers during the 2014 calendar year. This marks the third consecutive year she has been honored by MADD for her efforts. Excellent job Detective Mathias!
